Cladding Power Stripper
 
< Description >

The cladding power stripper (CPS) is a crucial component for the implementation of large mode area (LMA), double clad fiber (DCF)-based high-power laser oscillators and amplifies since undesired light propagating within the inner cladding of a DCF can degrade beam quality and potentially damage the optical fiber laser system. Therefore, efficient removal of cladding light is of technological interest to realize stable high-power optical fiber laser oscillators and amplifiers. It was recently reported that the backward scattering of cladding light is another critical design parameter for CLSs since it can induce localized fiber heating and burning.
